String Art

One of the DIY’s that I keep coming across on Pinterest is String Art. I really love the way that people are taking this craft from the 70’s and bring it into modern times. There are so many beautiful examples out there that it’s hard to pick only a few but, here are a few that are sure to inspire! (They have inspired me)

State of Mine

The big thing is to make your, or your friends, state into a beautiful piece of art work.

Easy Artwork’s

I don’t have a lot of artwork hanging on my walls but I would really love to have some beautiful pieces. However, whenever my Husband and I go looking we never can pick anything we both like.

Here are a few DIY artwork projects that I may have to try out.

Abstract Art

This first one is a must!! The artist, Cassandra Tondro, have a wonderfully calming and easy to follow video on how to make these abstract art pieces for your walls! All you need is a framed canvas, or two, some old left over house paint, drop cloth and something for your paint to be poured onto. The results are breathtaking!!

I think I will try it out first with some smaller canvas and some craft paint just to get the feel for it.

Wall Blocks

Here is a good way for all you scrapbookers to use up some of your stash! Even if you don’t scrapbook most of the papers out there are less then $1.00 and you can even find books of paper that complement each other for around $10.00 or less.

Big and Bold

I’ve seen this all over Pinterest and love the ideal! Simply send a photo to Staples and have them make it into a blue print copy then adhere it to some foam board.
